Stop Global Warming stamp by disenchantedmuse Stop Global Warming stamp by disenchantedmuse
Another shot at making a stamp...I still feel so raw at this, my stamps look so plain and all...but anyway, did this for the STG Virtual March.

If you'd like to join the Stop Global Warming Virtual March, come join me here [link].
You can use my stamp to support the March if you want, please link it to [link].

Thank you. :floating:

UPDATE 03/22/2012:
I posted this years ago, way back in 2006. Global warming was a big topic then. Whether it's real or not doesn't really matter much now. I took a stand, I supported a cause, that was then, this is now. I find it a little amusing that people were arguing over something so old... :XD:

UPDATE 02/23/2013:
Well, I never. I didn't think people would still find this old, ugly stamp among all the other stamps here on dA. :XD: This was posted in 2006 (repeating myself), and really, and I think the only thing stopping me from taking this down is that the comments are too fun to read. :D But I will probably be moving it over to scraps sometime, if only to avoid a fresh bout of arguments. :D

really? omg, it is. Scientists prove it every year several times to shut your fat mouths up. Carbon Dioxide emitions from our air polluting erodes the atmosphere, making it thinner and non-efficient. That means, winters are way too cold, and summers are way too hot, and the temps get more extreme every year considering we pump about 3.5 BILLION TONS of CO2 into the air each year.

No it's more. We pump 30 billion tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. BUT! (here comes my argument): There are only 3 parts per million of CO2 in the atmosphere - that is a tiny amount - and it's barely rising. Secondly, carbon dioxide is NOT the biggest greenhouse gas, WATER VAPOUR (aka. steam, clouds) is and methane (another greenhouse gas) is much more efficient at trapping heat that CO2. Also, there is nothing we can do to stop it if it does continue (highly unlikely, it has recently slowed down anyway) - Scientists have proved (via calculations) that if we stopped CO2 pollution now (that means no electricity, no fuel, no vehicles) it would take 33 YEARS for the temperature to go down JUST 7 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT. That's tiny, about 4 degrees Celsius. Is it really worth stopping CO2 emissions for a change that small? Sorry, but all the hype about climate change is vested interest.

Hi! Sure, I'll check out the petition. Thanks for using my stamp, it's not really very spectacular but at least it gets the message across. :aww:
